Af en toe eens outside the box durven denken! Iets waar Eduard Van Giel zeker in geslaagd is. Zijn tentoonstelling is een kleurrijke en boeiende kunstervaring met de fotoafwerking op een unieke wijze gebracht.

Eduard Van Giel, geboren in 1945 is een kunstenaar, een designer, een autodidact. Beïnvloed door mensen als Ensor, Duchamp, Beuys, Polke, Kippenberger, Warhol maakt hij zijn eigen produkties: originelen, multiples, fotowerken en grafische produkten.

Voor het project 'The Beauty Of Madness' heeft Van Giel zijn concept bij de Baader-Mainhof-groep gehaald, waarmee hij tevens aanduidt dat terreur niet iets recents is. Bomtassen en -gordels, die de kunstenaar vanop een afstand kan bedienen met zijn gsm, maken deel uit van 7 installaties. Gelukkig is Eduard Van Giel een 'aesthetic terrorist': zijn installaties verwonden niet maar verwonderen des te meer...

De tentoonstelling loopt tot 16/11/2018 in Galerie Solo, Musemstraat 29. Open donderdag tot zaterdag van 13u30 tot 17u30. www.galeriesolo.be
